Renji’s Armpits!

Completely random and childish.

I was looking at my site banner and being all narcissistic when I realized that I had put a Brotherhood of Steel guy right under Renji’s armpits.

Of course, Miyuki from Lucky Star is sorta under his blade, but I don’t think that’s half as bad as being under a armpit. Do I use “an” for armpit? It seems weird to say “an armpit”. I know cuz I’m reading everything aloud as I type them. I’m in love with my own voice. Especially when it has such power at annoying people and scaring kids off.

But I guess it’s fine, since Renji is pretty much hairless. Except for his hot fiery red hair. Hot as in hot hot.  Not hot, hot. Just hot. The word hot just got so strange looking after typing it a couple of times.

Maybe he shaves. WITH HIS BANKAI.  Now that’s hot, hot.

Goddesses Unite!

Or goddesses’ voices unite, actually.

sailor-moon

The five main voice actresses of the Bishōjo Senshi Sailor Moon (Pretty Soldier Sailor Moon) television anime series will reunite in a December 6 event to commemorate the upcoming 20th anniversary of Naoko Takeuchi’s original manga in 2011. Kotono Mitsuishi (Usagi Tsukino/Sailor Moon), Aya Hisakawa (Ami Mizuno/Sailor Mercury), Michie Tomizawa (Rei Hino/Sailor Mars), Rica Fukami (Minako Aino/Sailor Venus), and Emi Shinohara (Makoto Kino/Sailor Jupiter) are all scheduled to appear at the event in the Akihabara UDX Theater in Tokyo, 12 years after the anime franchise ended its original broadcast.

It’s been 12 years?! I still remember the excitement rushing through me when the opening credits stared and creepy montages of big-eyed girls with hairdos gone wrong.

I’m a sucker for Sailormoon. Seriously, I am and I admit it with pride. Although, these Japanese Seiyuus don’t really concern me that much because I grew up watching the Chinese (Taiwan) dubbed version of it. What? IF IT’S CHINESE DUBBED FROM TAIWAN IT’S OKAY!!

Lanning? Nah, I’m Just Gonna Go To The Library..

…And read some Manga.

Manga Library

A Manga Library, how cool is that?!?!

Meiji University has officially announced on Thursday that it aims to establish the tentatively titled Tokyo International Manga Library in 2014. The university plans to house two million items of manga, anime, games, and other media in the proposed archive at its Surugadai campus in the central Tokyo ward of Chiyoda. The collection will include tie-in books, magazines, dojinshi, manga and anime artwork, cels, game software, game consoles, character goods, figures, and more…..In addition to an archive for preserving and researching items, the planners are exploring the prospects of including a museum and a theater.

From Anime News Network

2014 you say? Well if there’s one motivation to live past 2012, it’s this!

2,000,000 items of a geek’s fantasy housed in a five storey, 2.1 acres of awesomeness = more reason to move to Japan. I wonder when something like this will ever happen to Singapore. If the government can spend all that money on a pro-debt-suicide-inducing casino, why can’t we have a Manga Library? Heck, they’d even closed down the only library branch I know that holds a decent collection of Manga! Then again, the collection were rather obsolete. And the series they had were never complete anyways. Now that I think of it, the librarians weren’t very nice there either. Screw that, glad it’s closed.
