Resident Evil: Afterlife Photo

SOOOOO…. *cries*

First things first, my overall sentiments about the movie: The first one was GREAT. I’ve watched it before playing the game itself, and it’s a really cool spin-off of the game. Everything about it was great, the zombies, the action, the licker <3, the score and the actors were great too! No cliches or cheesy stuff.

And then! Apocalypse happened. And I lost all hopes for the movie franchise. It was so bad that I kinda hated the first film because of that. When Extinction came out, I was expecting so little of it, that it actually managed to redeem itself for me.

And now, Afterlife is being shot. Gosh I still remember that time when I read it in the magazine that Milla Jovovich said that she would not be in another Resident Evil film. LIESS!

So anyhoo, this photo was floating on the internetz for some time:

And Milla Jovovich on her twitter was talking about some scene on a ship and was so secretive about it until this photo came up. See those white people? Milia sorta explained that in her twitter. This is what she said:

but we call the people in white “pod people” here on set. lol! they have been used as umbrella “test subjects” in horrifying experiments.

First of all, WOA!! Milla writes a lot on her twitter! Hmm pretty weird how celebrities seem so close yet so far from us peasants. Anyhoo, yea so there are “pod people” in Afterlife. Damn I have a really bad feeling about this movie…

New Page!

I’ve added another page to this awesome blog of mine!

Well, it’s a section where I put my art. I’ve tried a lot of plugins to find the right one to use as an art gallery, but so far they’re all darn complicated. Or maybe I’m just lazy to figure out stuff. But anyhoo I decided to post some of my art on this blog. Y’know, to make it more personal. Because it’s my blog. MINE!

So if you want to buy it off me for..hmm….letsee…a real life Leon Scott Kennedy, I’ll be happy to trade ya.

Fallout 3 In 3D?

Not polygons and Maya 3D, but BLOW UP IN YOUR FACE HOLY SHIT 3D.

Anyhoo.

Nvidia came up with this 3D bundle thing that allows you to play your PC games in 3D. The system supports almost every PC game you would need to play (Resident Evil 5 in 3D! Imagine the Majini’s blood splattering out towards you when you shoot it! Oh joy!), which can be found here.

Nvidia 3D Bundle

But the point is, over at The Vault, which quoted an article from Gamesradar, it states that of all the games in 3D, Fallout 3 performed the best. Way to go, my love~! Here’s the excerpt (which contains an excerpt. Funny how life turns out, doesn’t it?):

According to GamesRadar, there’s a new peripheral called Nvidia 3D Vision. This makes images for both your left and right eye respectively so when you wear the glasses, it makes it 3D. There were three games tested by GamesRadar: Resident Evil 5, Left 4 Dead and Fallout 3. Here’s an excerpt:

Out of the games we sampled, we liked Fallout 3 the best. As with the other games we played, 3D Vision makes the little details stand out. And when it comes to detailed worlds, they don’t get much better than Fallout 3; the wasteland never looked this good.

The added depth also makes your Pip-Boy really “pop.” Scrolling through your stats and picking out your perks feels great in 3D. But of course, it’s the Vault-Tec Assisted Targeting System (or V.A.T.S.) that really makes Fallout 3 shine in 3D. Nailing Super Mutants with headshots as the camera zooms in makes the already gorgeously gory game look even more impressive.

It runs at a hefty price, $199 USD and includes the following:

  • Wireless glasses
  • IR emitter
  • DVI-to-HDMI cable
  • Two USB cables
  • VESA 3-pin Stereo Cable
  • Interchangeable nosepieces
  • A cleaning pouch and cloth for your fancy new glasses.

Just reading it makes my fingers itch. And my toes. And my back. Gawd I think I’m having an allergic reaction. TO AWESOMENESS THAT IS! This make me wanna commit infidelity to my Mac. I need a gaming PC dammit! And money! And a cheeseburger. Gawd I’m hungry right now.

Woe be ME!

Because 我 is me.

But careful is not me. And neither is lucky. Ding Ding! Story is – I made a pretty sculpture of the Licker from Resident Evil using Super Sculpey, and it was a pretty good job if I may say so myself. BUT! When I was curing it in the oven, whether the heat is too high, or I left it in too long, I have no idea, BUT my beloved sculpture burnt black in less 5 minutes!!

My one month (on and off) hard work all reduced to carbon within 5 minutes…Now I can actually understand how victims of house fire feel. Or the parent of a microwaved baby. Because we all know that urban legends are actually true.

Oh woe…MySpace

EDIT: I used acrylic paint and tried to paint over it. Turned out alright I guess..
